Profile

Esther's work is an exploration of containment and volume, light and surface pattern, used to create unique, handcrafted silver vessels and tableware.

"By highlighting the play of light and shadow over angular, folded surfaces, overlapping planes and transposed layers, and combining this with subtle texturing, I aim to create dynamic pieces which accentuate the inherent beauty and wonderful versatility of silver."

Her workshop is located in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter; an area selected for major regeneration and development by the City Council. She is a visiting lecturer at the nearby School of Jewellery, part of Birmingham Institute of Art & Design.
